Oman Re made a net profit after tax of OMR5.1m in the nine months to 30 September 2026, up 58% from OMR3.2m a year earlier, Middle East Insurance Review reported on 28 October, citing a statement from the reinsurer.

Underwriting drove most of the improvement. The net reinsurance result rose 134% to OMR4.2m from OMR1.8m, and the combined ratio improved by more than ten points, to 87.4% from 98.2%. Net investment and other income added OMR3.4m, 14% more than a year earlier.
