People moves: Enstar promotes Ni to president, Radian reshapes Inigo leadership

Enstar has promoted David Ni to president, Reinsurance News reports. Ni joined in 2019 to lead mergers and acquisitions, later became chief strategy officer, and will work with chief executive Dominic Silvester on strategy, including the integration of AF Group. Radian Group, which completed its $1.7 billion purchase of Inigo earlier this year, has appointed interim CFO Dan Kobell chief financial officer, Reinsurance News and Business Insurance report. Inigo co-founder Russell Merrett moves to a new group role leading property and casualty strategy, and Craig Knightley succeeds him as Inigo's chief underwriting officer, subject to regulatory approval.

Insurance Asia reports that Generali appointed Antoine Parisi, chief executive of assistance, travel and employee benefits specialist Redion Group, to its Group Management Committee from 1 January 2027. According to Risk & Insurance, Selective Insurance Group named Velocity Risk Underwriters chief executive Jake Rothfuss executive vice president and president, Standard Lines, to join no later than April 2027. Reinsurance News reports that Global Indemnity Group added former Argo Group chief executive Jessica Buss to its board from 26 October, succeeding Bruce Lederman.

In Europe, Business Insurance reports that Kristof De Bremme, chief executive of Marsh Belgium and Luxembourg, will also lead Marsh Netherlands from early 2027, with David Sanderse as chairman. Reinsurance News reports that Hadron named John Moffatt, from MSIG-UK, international CUO, subject to PRA and FCA approval, and that Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance promoted Virginie Pelletier to head of executive & professional liability in France. Insurance Times reports that John Lewis Money hired former Co-op Insurance managing director Charles Offord as director of financial services from 18 November, succeeding James Mack. Insurance Age reports that broker Thomas Carroll promoted Terry Edwards to divisional director of London and credit, and Al Morakeb reports that Marsh appointed Andy Start as a senior adviser.

In North America, Reinsurance News reports that Chubb named Lisa Wilson head of North America claims, with Jamie Trish as global claims operations officer and Norm Rafsol as global claims technical director, and that Corgi hired Morgan Bevin as VP, public affairs officer. Risk & Insurance reports that Lockton appointed Russell Smith, from Sompo, U.S. property & casualty claims leader; that Allianz Commercial hired Kenji Swepson from Everest Evolution as West Zone distribution leader; and that Grange Insurance named Paige Scott vice president of distribution enablement and operations. Al Morakeb reports that Lockton also named Sara Romine executive vice president, head of legal affairs and company secretary. Business Insurance and Coverager report that EverPeak Insurance made Patrick K. Daley, from Glatfelter Insurance Group, chief underwriting officer. Coverager reports that Erie Insurance appointed Raghu Parthasarathy, from The Hartford, senior vice president of information technology. Insurance Business says SAN Group appointed Tom von Jess chief operating officer from 19 October.

In Australia, Insurance Business reports that IAG promoted Dustin Bartley to executive general manager, customer and growth, for CGU and WFI from 30 October, as Damien Gallagher leaves after 15 years. Insurance Asia News reports that Willis' Asia natural resources head Nicki Tilney has left after four years, that Niyam Group hired former Tysers Singapore CEO Babita Rai as global head for international business, that WTW named Jonathan Nepomuceno head of finex for the Philippines, and that Echo Re added Sanjana Sinha as underwriting manager in GIFT City. In Latin America, Reinsurance News reports that Avla appointed Felippe Astrachan CEO of its reinsurer AvlaRe and promoted André Bertolino to CEO of Avla Brazil.
