Tawuniya earned SAR911.55m in net profit in the nine months to 30 September 2026, against SAR902.37m a year earlier, according to the results summary Argaam published on 5 November. Earnings per share rose to SAR4.05 from SAR4.01. Gross written premiums grew 16.2% to SAR19.97bn and insurance revenue grew 17.5% to SAR18.50bn.

The third quarter was much stronger than the rest of the period. Net profit for the quarter rose 74.1% to SAR301.71m from SAR173.26m, and quarterly insurance revenue rose 20.3% to SAR6.51bn. Profit was still 6.2% below the SAR321.77m of the second quarter. Taken together, the figures imply that first-half profit fell by about 16% year on year, so the third quarter brought the nine-month result back to a small gain.

By line, Argaam said protection and savings premiums grew 54.44%, motor premiums 32.46% and health premiums 14.69%. General insurance premiums fell 7.90%, which the company linked to lower demand from the energy sector and to engineering projects that were rescheduled. Before reinsurance, the third-quarter insurance service result was a loss of SAR1.95m, against a profit of SAR2.74m a year earlier, mainly because of higher service expenses in general insurance.

Investment income rose 17.2% to SAR649.51m and the investment portfolio grew 11.37% to SAR13.85bn. Net insurance and reinsurance finance expenses fell 45.95% to SAR48.68m, which Argaam attributed to changes in the discount effect on insurance contract liabilities.
