The Insurance Authority appointed Alnowaiser as CEO with effect from 1 November 2026, replacing Naji AlFaisal AlTamimi, Middle East Insurance Review reported on 2 November. The Authority's board thanked AlTamimi for strengthening the regulator's role during its founding phase.

Alnowaiser brings more than 25 years of executive and board experience. He spent 15 years at Tawuniya, where he was chairman of the board and its executive committee from 2020 until joining the Authority. Tawuniya separately announced his resignation as chairman and non-executive director, citing professional commitments, and said a new chairman will be named in due course.

His earlier roles include CEO of Emaar, The Economic City, the master developer of King Abdullah Economic City, and CEO of Tahakom Investments, a Public Investment Fund subsidiary. He also chaired the board of United Insurance Company in Bahrain, the publication said.
