Arch Insurance North America, part of Arch Capital Group, said on 30 October that it has agreed to acquire Premier Dealer Holding Corp. and its subsidiaries, including Premier Dealer Services (PDS). PDS, based in Dublin, Ohio, provides automotive finance and insurance (F&I) products and services. The price was not disclosed.

The two companies already work together. Arch says the deal combines its specialty insurance expertise with the administration capabilities, technology and relationships of PDS. After closing, PDS is expected to run as a standalone business within Arch Insurance's Consumer Division. Arch Insurance North America chief executive Matt Shulman said the deal would "strengthen our capabilities in the automotive F&I market".

The deal needs regulatory approvals and must meet other customary conditions. Arch expects it to close by the end of 2026, and its release warns that completion could be delayed or might not happen.
