Chris Gibson now leads Sedgwick's claims and loss adjusting business in the Middle East as Managing Director, Middle East, Middle East Insurance Review reported on 8 October. The post carries "overall responsibility" for the group's regional operations. The change comes before the retirement of Mike Brogden, the regional chief executive, at the end of the year.

Gibson's experience is in large and complex losses, including construction claims, built up over nine years in Dubai and Qatar. The report says he will keep close links with Sedgwick's London-based Global Specialty team, which covers aviation, energy and marine work.

Brogden, a chartered loss adjuster and chartered surveyor, has led the region since 2019. He first joined the group in Qatar in 2013.

In a company release published on Zawya, Sedgwick lists seven Middle East markets: Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Neil Gibson, Regional CEO for the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa, said the region "remains a key market" for the business.
