Orient Insurance, the UAE insurer owned by the Al-Futtaim group, said on 30 October that its net profit after tax for the first nine months of 2026 was AED727m, 10% more than the AED658m it earned a year earlier. Insurance revenue rose 17% to AED8.05bn from AED6.90bn.

The balance sheet grew as well. Total assets rose 15% to AED20.31bn, total investments including bank balances rose 13% to AED12.70bn, and total equity rose 7% to AED6.46bn. The release labels the figures "Q3 2026 (Year-to-Date)" and gives no gross written premium, combined ratio or split by country or business line.

In August the insurer reported first-half profit of AED545m, up 8%, and insurance revenue of AED5.22bn. On those figures the third quarter alone added about AED182m of profit and AED2.83bn of revenue, by our calculation from the two releases. Calculated the same way, third-quarter profit a year earlier was about AED155m.

Omer Elamin, President of Orient Insurance Group, attributed the result to a "continued focus on sustainable growth, operational excellence".
