Daman, the insurer in Abu Dhabi's PureHealth group, earned a net profit of AED667m in the nine months to 30 September 2026, 3.9% more than a year earlier, PureHealth said in its results statement. Insurance revenue rose 11.7% to AED6.4bn, and gross written premium rose 14% to AED6.8bn. The release reports that premium for the insurance business as a whole and does not split it between health and other lines.
Daman had about 3.4 million insured members, up 2%, and processed 43.2 million health claims, up 6%. Its property and casualty business, which it is building next to its health book, wrote AED166m of premium in the period.
PureHealth said Moody's rates Daman A1 for insurance financial strength with a stable outlook, and described this as the highest such rating Moody's has given a UAE insurer. The group said Daman will try to strengthen its position in health insurance and grow its property and casualty line.
At group level, PureHealth's net profit rose 14.1% to AED1.8bn on revenue up 11.5% to AED22.4bn. Most of the growth came from hospitals outside the UAE, where revenue rose 53% to AED7.3bn after the group consolidated Hellenic Healthcare Group. Reported revenue from its UAE hospitals fell 9.2% to AED8.7bn, which the group linked partly to how it recognises revenue under the Unified Purchasing Programme; on a normalised basis that revenue rose 6%.
