SCOR reported group net income of €206m for the third quarter of 2026 on 30 October and said all three of its businesses contributed. The annualised return on equity for the quarter was 20.4%. For the first nine months, net income was €603m, or €615m on an adjusted basis, with a return on equity of 18.9%.
In property and casualty reinsurance, the combined ratio was 84.1%, including natural catastrophe losses equal to 9.1 points. SCOR describes the quarter as active for natural catastrophes but says strong attritional loss experience offset this. It also says it added to reserve buffers in P&C.
The life and health business produced an insurance service result of €119m, with a positive experience variance of €12m. In investments, the regular income yield was 4.1%, which SCOR attributes partly to high reinvestment rates. The effective tax rate was 28.5%.
SCOR estimates its group solvency ratio at 221%, six points above the level at the end of 2025. The estimate allows for a dividend accrual for the first nine months of 2026, based on the €1.90 per share dividend paid for 2025. Group economic value reached €8.9bn at 30 September, or €50 per share, up 4.0% as reported and 11.9% at constant economics. Chief executive Thierry Léger said the group is entering "the final stretch" of its Forward 2026 plan with a stronger balance sheet.
