Prudential agrees to sell its Alexforbes stake

Prudential Financial announced agreements to sell its entire stake in South Africa’s Alexforbes through its subsidiary New Veld.

Alexforbes would repurchase part of the holding, with ARC AF Holdings buying the remainder. Prudential puts the combined value at about US$185 million.

The company expects completion in the first half of 2027, subject to shareholder approval for the repurchase, regulatory approvals and other conditions. The sale is agreed, not completed.
